Sr M Jyothsna BS (55), nee Linet Benedicta Pasanna of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangalore, daughter of the late Alphonse Pasanna and the late Alice Pasanna, belonging to St Antony’s Church, Padukone of Udupi Diocese, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Funeral cortege leaves from Maryvale Convent, Kinnigoli at 3.00 pm for Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli on Friday, July 31, followed by Mass at 3.30 pm.

Sr. Jyothsna (Sr.Linnette) was a truly humble, gentle, and kind soul from her younger days. We grew up together, sharing many beautiful memories of our younger years, and we were blessed to share the same birthday. Though she was a brilliant student and a class topper, she always remained simple, gracious, and deeply grounded. Though I had limited opportunities to meet her after she embraced her religious life, her warmth, humility, and goodness continued to remain close to my heart. It is deeply saddening to hear of her passing. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith, dedication, compassion, and selfless service to others. May Sr. Linnette’s noble soul rest in eternal peace, and may God welcome her into His loving presence and bless her with everlasting joy. 🙏🙏🙏 My heartfelt condolences to her fellow sisters, her elder sister Molly Bai, and all her family members, friends, and loved ones.
