Fr Denis Alvares SJ (87), passed away on Thursday April 30, 2009 in Bangalore.
Funeral on Saturday May 2 at 9.00 am at Mount St. Joseph, Bannerghatta Road, Bangalore.

A lesser known Jesuit of the Karnataka Province who was always in mission stations. I have fond memories of Fr Dennis Alvares while he was in Kotagiri. My condolences to the Jesuit Provincial and the whole Karnataka Province.
