Dear aunt Benny, Betty and Patsy, I had met uncle Raphael just a fortnight back at Marinangar, and he looked apparently well. we had a long chat. He told me that he wanted to come to M''lore to visit his relatives. He even told me that he has to go for a Meeting at Marine Lines that noon. I could hardly believe that his end came so soon.

May His will be done. We extend to you our heartfelt condolences, and pray that the Almighty give you the strength to bear the sudden loss of a dear one. I am grateful to him for helping me when I first came to Mumbai, and subsequently too. May his soul rest in peace. Oliver

Very sad to hear that my good friend Ralph has passed away. He has had a long and fulfilling life and I pray to God that He will give him eternal rest. My condolences to his widow, Benny and children, and sisters, as well as to his nephew Rt. Rev. A.P. D''Souza, Bishop of Mangalore. I had known Ralph while living in Mahim, Bombay, in the 1950s and we often went on walks in company of other good friends to the Cadell Road and Mahim beaches. I also ran into him once or twice while walking on the street when I was visiting Bombay several years ago and he was amazed that I still remembered and recognized him. May his soul rest in peace!
