Odin Aranha, husband of Gemma, father of Vanessa, brother of Diana / Gerry, Idun / Ed, Wilma, Gemma / Charles, Nestor / Shaila and Shamina / Alston, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 7th at Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, North York, between 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. His life will be celebrated at Mass on Friday, October 8th at 11am at St Edward the Confessor Church, 75 Churchill Avenue, North York, followed by the burial at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, North York.

We may not know each other personally but your mum aunty Gracie Aranha was a close friend of my late grandmother, Lily Mascarenhas. They along with Aunty Bessy, Aunty Vicky and others were neighbours in Bendore, decades ago. I am Elfrida's daughter. It's very hard to believe that we have lost a very important part of our family.
We have known him since childhood and through our experiences we know him to be a very good and kind hearted man.He loved us all and he was loved by us all.He has helped many people and was always eager to help those who needed his help.
We express our heart felt condolences to our sister-Gemma, our darling niece-Vanessa, Odin's sisters- Diana,Ena,Wilma,Gamma,Shamina and his brother -Nester and Odins dear and near ones.

We have lost our beloved brother. Ther is a big hole in our hearts as he was a very important part of our family. He was was kind, loving, and knowledgable on any and every subject. we will miss his debates,our children will miss his counsel and his love. Gemma,his wife and Vanessa, his daughter were so cherised by him. They returned his love wholeheartedly. Thank you all for all your kind words.
