Gibert Fernandes (80), retired Physical Education Teacher, St Mary's Junior College, Shirva, husband of Evelin Martis, father of Blany, Mable, Alveera, Geetha and Honorina, father-in-law of the late Sylvester Ronald D’Souza, Raymond Ivan D’Souza, Vincent Jaya D’Souza and Clara Fernandes, grandfather of Pearl, Daryl, Sheetal and Ayshle, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010.

Funeral cortege leaves "Delight", Panjimar for Our Lady of Health Church, Shirva on Tuesday, October 12 at 4:15 pm. Mass at 4:45 pm.

Gilbert Master was a devout man . Gibba Master, as we knew him, was an excellent PT teacher. He would identify good talent and encourage the person to practice for the school day. I was never a sportsman during my early school days but Gibba Master encouraged me to try the High Jump!!
He was a good actor as well.
I am sad to know about his death. May God give him eternal rest and my prayers for the Fernandes family.

‘Gilbert Master’ as he is fondly known in St. Mary’s Shirva.
