Thu, Oct 20 2011I wish to thank all of you for the condolences on Maiñ's demise.
When you love somebody dearly, even 103 years is too early to die.
My mother was a very specially blessed child of God, from birth through death. Some time ago a junior journalist, who worked under me, asked me: "Sir, don't you feel great that you have so many degrees?" I replied to him: " The only "degree" that makes me feel great is "Son of Magdelbai"!
I thank God that he kept Maiñ in good health till she died.
I request all of you to read the Book of Sirach 3: 1-16 to realise what a blessing it is to love and serve one's parents.

Mon, Oct 17 2011Sad to hear the passing away of Magdalene D`Souza. My condolences to her family. Indeed, she must have had a great life! May her soul find eternal salvation and rest in peace. The grand old age of 103 brought back a few memories of my own grandfather, Belchor Monis, who had passed away two decades ago, at the same age!
