Fr Henry Suares (70) of Allahabad Diocese, passed away at 9.00 am on Sunday, August 26, 2012 after a brief illness.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 27 at 2.30 pm with the Holy Eucharist in St Joseph's Cathedral, Allahabad.

Fr Henry was born to the late Joseph Suares and the late Cicilia on 28-11-1942, then residing in Kavoor, Bondel Parish, Mangalore. He did his schooling from St. Joseph's School, Pezar and completed further studies at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. Then he joined St. Joseph's Seminary, Allahabad and was ordained priest on 12-12-1971.

Fr Henry had been a hard working priest in various mission stations, parishes and educational institutions in the diocese of Allahabad.

A fortnight ago he got a severe attack of facial paralysis and was admitted to Nazareth Diocesan Hospital, Allahabad.

Fr.Henry was a blessing to me.The most helpful n cheerful person I've ever met.Even when now a days i pick up the cell to call him ,the worst part that i go through is when i remember that he has passed away....DUMBSTRUCK.I just want to say that it should not be me neither you to remember him it must be "us" to recall him in our prayers.Hope you were there....May God Bless You dear Fr.
