Janet Pereira, former teacher and headmistress of St Aloysius Higher Primary School, wife of the late Charles Pereira, and the mother of Arun, Anil, late Ashok, Fr Anand SJ and Anoop, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013.

Mortal remains will be brought to Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, Urwa, Mangalore on Monday, June 24 at 3.00 pm. Mass at 3.30 pm.

In lieu of Floral tribute you may contribute cash to be used for the Education of Poor Children.

Mrs Janet served at St Aloysius Primary School for 33 years and retired in 1997. She taught the first standard students for almost all of her teaching career. She was like a second mother to her students and hundreds of them remember her fondly even to this day. Many of them would often visit her even during her prolonged illness. In her death, Mangalore has lost a committed teacher and an affectionate mentor.
