Lena D'Souza (73), wife of the late Charles D'Souza, mother of Allwyn / Blanche, Lolita / Praveen, Lavina / Richard, Lauriette / Vinod & Charmaine / Keith, grandmother to Shanelle, Nathan, Jaden, Keenan, Dylan and Katelyn, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013.

Those wishing to pay their last respects can do so at 2.30 pm on Monday, August 5 in the Holy Name Cathedral, Colaba, Mumbai 400 005. Funeral Mass at 3 pm followed by burial at Haines Road Cemetery, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.

I am stunned to know the news of her demise. I am not acquainted with her in person but with her books. I have accepted her as my teacher since the day I started reading her books.I am deeply grieved and would like to offer my sincerest sympathies on her family's bereavement. It's not only a great loss to me but also to them who are associated with her. Her demise creates a vacuum which is irreparable. The Bhagwat Gita says," For what is born death is certain and for the dead birth is certain." I hope she will rest in peace in her eternal sleep as a blessed one.
