Fr Albert Valerian Pinto (69), brother of Fr Marian Pinto & Sr Marie Emilda BS, cousin brother of the late John Pinto & Stella Pinto, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013.

Funeral cortege leaves residence Pinto Nivas, Gundala (near HP petrol station, Kinnigoli) at 2:45 pm on Friday, December 27 for Immaculate Conception Church, Kinnigoli followed by Mass at 3.00 pm.

On behalf of my brothers and sisters of Rodrigues family members of(Salmara)Gurpur, please accept our heartfelt sympathies on the sad demise of your brother, Fr. Albert Pinto. We fondly remember him as a loving and God fearing priest. Ater many years, I had the opportunity of meeting him again in Abu Dhabi when he came here to give a Retreat and invite him to my house. He had so many incidents and stories of his childhood in Gurpur, to share with us May his departed soul Rest in Peace.

Dear Fr.Marian and Sr. Marie Emilda, please accept our heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of Fr.Albert {Deepak}.He was a very simple man and always dedicated his life to others. He loved Konkani language, its culture and traditions was a member of many Konkani associations in Bangalore. Popularly known as Fr.Deepak. Our Konkani Catholic Welfare Association,RT Nagar KCWA was inaugurated by him on 8th September 1999 on Blessed Mothers feast day. We remember with gratitude his services to Konkani community specially in Bangalore. A happy and joyous person and therefore perhaps God called him to his abode on Christmas feast day.
