Jerome Denis Furtado (72), husband of Helen Furtado, father of Dina/Oscar, Terry/Cecilia, Sunil/Thelma, Veena/Shyam, Roopa/Caesar passed away on September 11. Funeral cortege leaves residence ‘Silver Sands’, Thottam for the Church of St. Ann, Thottam at 10.00 am on Wednesday, September 14.

During the 1960s and 1970s, he ran the well-known firm, Coronet Dry Cleaners. For the last many years, his 'Silver Sands' beach resort has been very popular among tourists, including foreigners.
