Friends are precious and their going away is truly sad. I am saddened to lose a faithful and devoted friend in Fr. Andrew who was my classmate in the seminary and a companion in every sense of the word. Sickness and hardships did not dim his spirit of humor and cheerfulness. Though gone from us he will live in the hearts of many especially thos families and the poor for whom he out of his resources and with great compassion provided a future. Father Andrew Saldana was our parish priest at Coove for 2years.(June 2003-June 2005) was very systematic.He preached well prepared sermon.Who encouraged us to sing psalms after 1st reading as in the reading book(lectionary)first in the Chikkamagalur Who gave guidance to celebrate children's day,fathers day mothers' day senior citizens day parish day on a grand manner,every Sunday he used to take catechism class without fail. He was very particular about his spiritual duties. May his soul rest in peace.

reev fr andrew is a jovial holy priest.he is always straight forward man.where ever he posted without grambling he did his peiestly ministry very well.he use to conduct nice liturgy...from last few years he was sick.as a priest he worked asst in sakleshpur,then he moved to thirthahalli.here he built a new church and many social work conducted.thenhe moved to fathimapura from there to gonibeedu ,then he moved to coove.form coove to kalasa and finally he went to shettihalli after that his health gave trouble to him.so he moved to shanthi dhama.fr andrew always crack jokes.so he make others to laugh.where ever he served,he served people joyfully,fr andrew goog bye...sad to note one more senoior dynamic and vibrant priest we lost.may his soul rest in peace.
