Fr Victor Noronha (78), SVD, Botswana / Taccode, son of the late John & Marceline Noronha, Taccode, brother of Cyril Noronha and Paul Noronha, passed away on January 2, 2017.

Funeral arrangements for burial of Fr Victor Noronha on Tuesday, January 3 to Thursday, January 5, holy Mass at 5.00 pm at Selebi Phikwe Church.

Friday, January 6 Fr Victor's body will be brought to Francis Town Cathedral and there will be requiem Mass at 5.00 pm in the evening followed by Vigil.

Saturday, January 7 morning at 6 am, holy Mass followed by burial at SVD Provincial House Cemetery, Botswana.

I was shocked to hear of the death of dear Fr Victor. I have known him several years. I am so pleased that I had the opportunity to assist him in his last parish with the community hall. Above all, I was happy that I had the blessing of visiting him (and Fr Elfridus) one year ago, when he was a wonderful and gracious host. Farewell Victor and welcome Home!

He was very fond of children and I remember the wonderful moments we spent with him during our childhood. I was very lucky to speak to him over phone recently, after a long gap.

Fr. Victor Noronha was one of the finest priests I have known in my life. He was my Vocation Promoter, Rector and guide. It was his support, guidance and inspiration led me to the altar of God. I am really saddened by his death. May God grant him eternal rest.

Lord grant Eternal Rest to Fr. Victor
Noronha. After my ordination in 1974 I was first appointed as Assistant priest at Kirem. Then Fr. Victor was the rector at SVD minor seminary in Kirem. A kind, always helpful and loving priest. I always remember him with gratitude. Good Bye Fr. Victor.

Fr Victor Norohna was a human being par excellence. Being a pastor of Christ he looked after the flock in his charge to the best of his ability. We had spent happy moments just two months back in the picturesque Mercera hills, where he shared his life experience. I am sure he came across as a jovial person who loved life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment of it. I am sure scores of people who met him would echo the same sentiments. May Fr. Ittu experience eternal bliss. It is many years since we met him. He was our neighbour and a dear friend of our family. His mother while alive used to visit my mother often and they used to be very friendly.

In Fr. Victor we have lost a good missionary who was far away in mission countries carrying the good news of Jesus. condolences to all his sister-in-laws and their children. May the Lord grant him the rest which he deserves..and the bliss of heaven.
