I am really shocked to read the news of the demise of Rev. Fr Clement. Father you were an inspiring moral theologian with your gracious presence and words in our AMTI meetings. its a big lose for moral theologians association of India. May his soul rest in peace.
I was very fortunate to have Clement as a best friend during the years I was at the Redemptorist Seminary in Bangalore. Clement was three years my senior but we shared a love of singing, good music, theater and sang together in the Ecumenical Christmas choir in the city. Clement was multi-talented. He excelled at cricket and was a fierce competitor. He played several musical instruments,(and the organ when we chanted the psalms in chapel), conducted our choir for church celebrations and also for all our in-house celebrations. I was introduced to many wonderful pieces of music because he knew so much about music . Clement had a very sharp intellect but was a humble, balanced, fun loving guy with a hearty laugh. I remember sitting with him at recreation at the end of a day, listening to Bach and also to the Beatles Sargent Pepper album when it first came out! We enjoyed biking through Bangalore down Brigade Road and our trips to the U.S. Cultural Center or Max Mueller Bhavan to borrow documentary movies. May our Creator, the Redeemer and Spirit rest his spirit in peace for eternity as a reward for his good and faithful service to the "people of God"
Shocking news to hear! Heartfelt condolences to Fr. Gerard, the Campos family and the Redemptorist community. It is a great loss of a dedicated priest, an excellent orator, a simple person, an articulate and gifted teacher, a friend to many and who had a ear for music. Growing up as part of Holy Ghost Parish, we looked forward to Fr. Clement's sermons and his inimitable style of preaching, connecting the word of God and applying it in our daily lives. Fr Clement Campos cssr's demise is surely a great loss to the redemptorist community. He was truly a man of God ..gentle and good preacher. We who attend the Holy Ghost church is surely going to miss him for sure. Especially during the holy week service . His brother fr Gerard Campos will surely miss his dear brother fr Clement. I have met several times Fr. Clement Campos. I had known his brother Gerard Campos when I was at NBCLC during the Intensive Training Institute for four months . Few months ago I was at Holy Ghost Ghost for the funeral of our dear Wg. Cdr. Phillipos and Fr. Clement preached a beautiful and meaningful homily. Condolences to all his family members specially Fr. Gerard Campos. May the Lord grant him eternal bliss. His sudden passing away is really surprising. The Lord knows when to call his loved ones to himself.
We were very sad to hear about the passing away of our Dearest Fr. Clement. A great, humble priest and a family friend. who carried out his priestly duties always with a smile, was kind and preached great sermons, always reached out to parishioners and touched the lives of most people he knew and made a difference in this world.This is a huge loss to all of us and the community. Our Dearest and most beloved Fr Clement will always be cherished with great memories of his devout priestly mission, divine sermons, a great orator and a wonderful priest. A dear friend of our family never to forget him serving my most dear and beloved mother's funeral mass early this year on March 16 th. Very sad to know that Fr Clement Campos is no more. He taught us Moral Theology at JDV, Pune. He was very gentle, kind and a good teacher. May his soul rest in peace.
Extremely sad to hear about the passing of Fr. Clement Campos. He will always be remembered for his fabulous and meaningful Homily's, was extremely articulate and had the gift to listen to people.
