A new Konkani Devotional Songs music album titled  “Jeevant Devak Aradhon” of Mr.Antony Pereira (Tony, Bejai) volume – 6  was released on 07.09.2014 at St’ Francis Xavier Church, Bejai, Mangalore by Rev.Fr.Wilson D’Souza, Parish Priest along with Mr.Antony Pereira  and Rev.Fr.Sunil Pinto, Asst.Parish Preist at the end of  7.00 am Konkani Mass in the presence of the parishioners.




 
Tony’s love for Konkani and passion for music promoted  him to contribute and release his six Konkani musical albums to Konkani loving community. Out of his six musical albums, two  volumes are Konkani Super sonic songs Vol-1 “ Kogulle” and Vol-4 “ Baila Vhalo” rest   Vol-2 “Tuja Paya Thala”, Vol-3 “Swadik Jezuk Aargam, Vol-5 “ Kurpe Sagor” & “Jeevant  Devak Aradhon “  Vol-6 are Konkani Devotional songs.

Tony is also a good singer, writer of Konkani articles, short skits, poems, jokes and composer of  Konkani, Kannada & Tulu songs.  He thank God for blessing him multiple talents. Tony says he is always grateful to all Konkani loving community for supporting him in his  mission.

 

His new Konkani devotional songs music album “ Jeevant Devak Aradhon” Vol-6 consists of 14 lovely songs,  music arranged by Mr.Roshan D’Souza and sung by Tony Pereira, Rony Crasta,  Prakash D’Souza (Bajpe), Prajoth D’Sa, Shilpa Cutinho, Meera D’Souza & Laveena Praphulla Pais. Harmonised & Engineered by Mr.Joel Pereira. Recorded at Sandesha Digital Studio, Mangalore.

Mangalore, Aug 11: Volume – 4 of ‘Baila Vhalo’ CD containing Konkani supersonic songs by Tony Bejai, was released here on Tuesday August 10, at a family function.

Fr Valerian Mendonca, director of Sandesha Foundation for Culture and Education, and principal of Sandesha College of Fine Arts, participated in the function as inaugurator. Dr Edward Nazareth, professor of orthopaedics, Fr Muller Medical College, Mangalore, was the guest of honour.







As a goodwill gesture, Tony Bejai has announced that 10% out of the sale proceeds of his CD will go towards the medical expenses of Priya D’Souza (23), daughter of Cyril and Philomena D’Souza, who lost her right leg in a road accident.

In his inaugural address, Fr Mendoca commended the efforts put in by Tony, and hailed his passion for Konkani music. Dr Edward Nazareth acknowledged the fact that bringing out any Konkani CD or book entails tremendous efforts, sacrifice, patience and dedication from the artiste concerned, besides the support from his family. He emphasized the need to promote Konkani language, and exhorted the gathering to support the artiste, by buying his CD and enjoying the music.

Tonyab in his concluding speach emphasised the need to protect Konkani language & heritage.  He also thanked his C.D. "Baila Vhalo" Music arranger Mr. Roshan D'Souza, Angelore & all the singers,  C.D.Engineered by Mr. Ashith Pinto & all others directly and indirectly involved in his new C.D.  He also thanked www.daijiworld.com for being his media partner for his C.D. "Baila Vhalo".
