50 years together is nothing short of a miracle
 
Dear Dad & Mom
 
Nineteen fifty nine to two thousand nine
that's 50 years all told
if marriage was an Olympic sport
you'd have got yourselves a gold.
 
Dad & Mom, with your love you created us,
and we'd like to say thanks from the four of us,
Sylvia, Claudius, Fr. Alwyn & Ivy,
we will all love you for evermore.
 
We the four children, sons-in-law/ daughter-in-law & six grandchildren
know just how much your love is really worth,
we have 'gold beyond measure', we have your love,
and that is the greatest treasure we have on this earth.
 
We could never repay what it would take,
because there is an enormous debt that is due,
so hopefully our sincere thanks will be enough,
a very big "thank you" go out to the both of you.
 
So we'd just like to wish you a happy 50th Anniversary
that's really what these words are for,
here's to you Dad, here's to you Mom, you're golden,
and here's wishing you both another fifty more.
