Rev Dr Fr Denis G Veigas, son of the late Anthony and the late Sabina Veigas, Vittal parish, Mangalore diocese, received doctorate on October 6, 2020, from the Pontifical University of Thomas Aquinas, Angelicum Rome on thesis titled ‘Graduality in Truth in the light of St Augustines’s De vera religione’.

My dearest sister, Sr. Jessy Veigas (Ursuline Franciscan Congregation),
Thank you very much for your warm and affectionate compliments at my securing a doctorate in Sacred Tehology (STD). As you have rightly said, it is a long dream come true. The question of "truth" had been reeling around me since my childhood. Recollecting back now I see, how God had been preparing "step by step" my way to bring "His" dream to a reality, through our dear parents, who were models of faith, hard work, love, and commitment. From our remote Vittal, Karnataka to the Vatican in Rome, it is a long distance, a long journey, a long time, and a lot of commitment. But all that gradually delivered through "Graduality in Truth," by God's grace. Thank you for accompanying me as a holy, lovely sister!
