The fiftieth birthday celebration of the administrator of Fr Muller Charitable Institute Fr William Menezes was held here on Wednesday January 9.

The celebrations began with the Holy Eucharist at St Joseph Chapel.

Director Fr Patrick Rodrigues, administrator of Homeopathy Medical College Fr Stany Tauro, administrator of Medical College Fr Dennis D’Sa, assistant director Fr Prakash D’Souza, Fr Frank Rodrigues, and Fr Felix Montero were present.

After the mass, Fr Patrick Rodrigues wished Fr Wiliam on his birthday.

Fr Denis D’Sa compered the programme. 

Fr Willaim Menezes was born on January 10, 1958 in Beltangady taluk to Ligoury and Benedicta Menezes. He completed his education at city’s St Aloysius College and secured a degree in bachelor in theology.

During 1986-1987 he served as the assistant parish priest of Modankap Church, Bantwal after which he became the assistant parish priest of Bendur Church from 1987-1989. He served as the parish priest of Padukone Church, Udupi for a period of seven years from 1989 to 1996.

Before being made the administrator of Father Muller Hospital in 2000, he had been the parish priest of Kolalgiri Church, Udupi from 1996.
