Herbert Lobo

February 10, 1962  to  September 26, 2007

During Herbert's prolonged illness, God sent many angels into my life to support and guide me; offer words of comfort and solace; encourage and reinforce our faith and courage.  I have no words to express my gratitude to my many relatives and friends who extended continuous prayers and sacrifices to help Herbert and us to bear the pain. I am grateful to all who volunteered to stay at the hospital night and day despite their busy working schedules. My sincere thanks to all who cooked food, looked after my children, provided transport and encouraged us during this difficult period.

I am grateful to the Trillium Hospital doctors, nursing staff and administrators for the special care and gentle attention given to Herbert and treating us like family members. My sincere thanks to the religious clergy and lay ministers who visited Herbert, gave him communion and prayed over him and the family members.

Herbert's final journey was truly memorable. Thanks to all those who attended the wake, gave spiritual / floral  bouquets, and condolences. Many of you expressed your feelings through eulogies at the funeral home and in the church. It soothed our troubled hearts and minds and offered consolation.  My heartfelt gratitude goes to Msgr. Terence D’Souza and other clergy members for conducting the last rites; the Knights of Columbus for their Guard of Honor and all who joined Herbert on his last journey to the Assumption Cemetery.

Thanks to our beloved relatives and friends who expressed their sentiments, prayers and condolences through Daijiworld and other media.  Above all, my family members and I would like to thank the Almighty God for putting Herbert in our midst for a glorious 45 years.  Please continue to remember dear Herbert and all of us in your prayers.
