ALICE NATAL MONTEIRO  was born on December 16th, 1934 and married the late Cyril Monteiro on June 29th, 1949. They were blessed with 7 children, 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She fulfilled her duties of being a loving wife, caring mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a great devotee of ‘Mother of Perpetual Succour’.    July 7th 2021 being a Wednesday and especially as Our Dearest Abba (your loving husband) turned 100; we bid you a respectful farewell.

Dearest Nana,

We would like to tell you that you will be irreplaceable, we will miss a Grandma like you. You are in a better place than here. You are finally with Abba, U. Donny, U. Cliffy and U. Noel, with whom you had lived memorable days of your life. You were a grandmother who thought of each of us cousins as your own children. You disciplined us, loved us, taught us right from wrong, sang for us, fed us, advised us and even gave up your sleep to put us to sleep. It will be tough to digest that you are no longer here with us anymore but we are all happy that you are now much at peace and happier than here, out of the worldly miseries and pain. We gathered on July 7th, not to mourn your leaving but to celebrate what a dignified and happy life you led. You have left a lasting impression and irrasable footprints in our lives. May we learn to be more humble, prayerful, selfless and forgiving like you. May we learn that life is only what we make of it. We are proud to have had a Grandma like you, who taught us so much more than just what schools and colleges can teach us. May you be united with Abba and all our departed loving family members and rest in peace in the highest ranks of heaven.
We love you always NANA!

Thank you to all the priests and nuns who prayed and joined in celebrating Nana’s funeral Mass.

Thank you to Dr. Susan Pinto and the team of doctors and caretakers at Fr. Mullers Hospital towards your medical care and support towards Nana, during the one and a half day duration at the hospital.

No words can express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have prayed, visited and sent messages of encouragement and support.
