First Death Anniversary
William Pinto
Daddy,
A year has gone in your passing but the emptiness lingers on…Words seem inadequate to express the deep sorrow we feel at the thought of having lost you but as we remember your life gave us memories too sweet to forget ;the words seem to flow…………….
You helped us through this life, from the time we were born till the day you left and died to this world. You are our unsung hero, a lot comes to mind when we think of you, but the qualities that made you ‘YOU’ and made us admire you the most were your unconditional love for us, your intense belief in education, your helping hand, your love for nature, and your 'ingenuity' - or just good ol' plain 'common sense'.
As we now often look back on the life that we spent together we reminisce about the talks, the squabbles, the tears, the laughter, the advice, in short the invaluable lessons learnt without which we would have been ill equipped to face the world on our own………Thank you.
You were a man of convictions and principles and firmly stood for the things you deemed important. Although most times you expressed your love in your own ways, you were a man of high moral standards, a good provider who loved your wife, children and grandchildren dearly.
Even in your suffering you stood tall, mummy and us love you so much and miss you even more, we now hold on firmly to those times which take us back again and again down memory lane and the more we realize how much you gave us, the more we strive to be like you.
Today marks a year of your journey into God’s Promised Land, the heavens are rejoicing and so we too join the choir of angels to celebrate the love, the happiness, the sorrows, the toils and the honesty; in a nutshell; your life, a man true to God and himself!!!
We read some beautiful words somewhere and it would be needless to say that it sums up the emotions of the day, today and now after………..Daddy,
Our family chain is broken
And nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again………...
We love you always,
