Mangaluru: Konkani Natak Sabha conducts short play competition

Mangaluru, Sep 19: Konkani Natak Sabha (KNS) conducted Konkani short play competition at Don Bosco Hall here on Sunday September 18.

Fr Dr Rocky D'cunha OFM Cap, president of KNS welcomed the participants and the audience. Fr JB Saldanha PRO of Mangalore diocese and parish priest of Bejai church inaugurated the competition by lighting the lamp. Liston D'Souza, vice president of KNS, Floyd D'Mello, general secretary, Gerald Concessao, treasurer, Praveen Rodrigues, assistant secretary, and competition conveners Cletus Lobo and Clarence Pinto were present.

As many as 6 teams took part in the competition namely Team Assisi Merlapadav, Team Bejai, Team Bendur, Team Jeppu, Team Carmel PU College, Modankap, and Team Kalaradhan, Pangla.

Renowned dramatists John M Permannur and Denis Monteiro were the judges for the competition.

Cletus conducted the competition and Anand Baptist assisted. The Urwa unit of KNS was in charge of the competition.

Floyd compered the programme and delivered the vote of thanks. KNS manager Boniface Pinto took the responsibility of computation of the scores. Cletus introduced the judges and announced the results.

Team Kalaradhan, Pangla bagged the first place while Team Jeppu and Team Carmel PU College, Modankap, secured the second and third places respectively.
