Bengaluru, Nov 17: Punyakoti foster scheme, an ambitious project of the state BJP government, which has been implemented to protect the cattle, will get donations from the salary of government employees. The government has ordered to cut the donations from the salary of its employees. As the State Government Employees’ Association has responded positively, the government has passed the order to cut the salaries.
According to the order, officials of A grade will have to shell out Rs 11,000, B grade Rs 4000 and C grade to Rs 400 from their salaries for the month of November. As much as Rs 80 to 100 crore will be accumulated through the salary cuts of government employees.
However, it is not mandatory for all government employees. Those who do not wish to contribute can inform the distribution officers. All the amount will be credited to the account of animal husbandry and veterinary service departments.
C S Shadakshari, president of the State Government Employees’ Association said, “The government expects to collect Rs 80 to 100 crore from the salary cuts. The government has sought the permission of all grades of officers and employees before announcing the decision. Chief minister Bommai has also assured that he will form the seventh pay commission and include the same in the balance sheet. That is why we have agreed to partake in the noble cause of the state government.”
