Mangaluru, Jun 14: Tulu movie 'Tudar' held a grand inauguration ceremony prior to its first show on Friday, June 14 at Big Cinemas, Mangaluru.

Addressing the gathering, Ganesh Rao said, "The word 'Tudar' means light or a lamp, and today, we have lit this lamp here. This lamp will not just shine on its own but will illuminate its surroundings. 'Tudar' is not just a light for the cast and crew but for all the film fans. When a movie is released, there are typically two types of reactions: one is to wish them the best of luck, and the other is to confidently believe that the movie will be successful. I'm confident enough to say that this movie will be a super hit. Success is not just about profit; the quality also matters. The tears and joy among the cast and crew reflect their dedication to this movie."

"The purpose of films is not just to entertain people but also to convey a strong message. We need entertainment to calm our minds. I have one piece of advice: when a business becomes successful, it should not stop there; it should continue with another venture. The Tuluvas are small in numbers, yet we are spread across India and even in Gulf countries. Despite our small numbers, we produce many films. Our guest, Walter Nandalike, has been the backbone of this event and has supported us whenever help was needed," he said.

Also present on this occasion, Tulu cine star Aravind Bolar expressed his happiness and said, "The word 'Tudar' holds special significance in Tulunadu. 'Tudar' is set to release in every theatre here. There is always uncertainty when a movie is released, but everyone who has seen the premiere shows has said that it's a good movie. I request everyone to watch the film in theatres."

Expressing joy on this occasion, Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld, said, "They say we should only speak about the film after its release, as we cannot say much before. Aravind Bolar and I were traveling to Bengaluru, and once we arrived, Aravind Bolar received 10-15 calls praising the 'Tudar' movie. According to me, the real publicity is when the public says that the film is great. Some of my friends from Dubai called me and praised the movie."

Ravindra Shetty, Lanchulal K S, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, Siddharth H Shetty, Deeksha Bhise, and the whole crew of 'Tudar' along with other Tulu actors were present.

‘Tudar’ is produced by Wilson Rebello, with Harish Shetty and Vidya Sampath as co-producers. Tejesh Poojary and Elton Mascarenhas have directed the film. The story, screenplay, dialogues, and lyrics are written by Mohan Raj. Patson Pereira and Sayeesh Bharadwaj have composed the music. The cinematography is handled by Chanthu Meppayuru, and Kartik Rai Adyanadka has served as the production manager. Choreography is handled by Vijeth R Nayak, editing by Ganesh Nirchal, and advertising design by Devi. The movie was shot over 35 days in Mangaluru and Udupi.
