Mumbai, Jun 15: French automobile giant Renault is gearing up to bolster its lineup in India with updated offerings, as camouflaged test mules of the 2026 Kiger and Triber facelift models were recently spotted undergoing road tests. These fresh sightings offer a sneak peek into the next phase of Renault’s aggressive strategy to revamp its portfolio, ahead of the much-anticipated launches of the Duster facelift and Bigster.
While the prototypes were heavily camouflaged, some key design upgrades have become evident — signaling a fresh direction for the compact SUV and MPV.
The upcoming 2026 Renault Kiger will retain the silhouette of the current model but will sport notable cosmetic enhancements on the front fascia. As per spy shots, the facelifted Kiger will feature:
• A wider central grille, possibly giving it a more dominant road presence
• A smaller secondary grille with Renault’s signature logo embedded
• Streamlined LED DRLs with a sleeker design
• A flat bonnet shutline for a cleaner, more modern appearance
• Newly designed alloy wheels, hinting at a sportier stance
While Renault has kept the interior updates under wraps, sources suggest the cabin may receive incremental feature upgrades closer to the launch.
Under the hood, the 2026 Kiger is expected to continue with existing engine options:
• 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol
• 1.0-litre turbo petrol
• CNG variant (likely offered again)
The Renault Triber facelift will also maintain its existing body structure but with fresh styling cues. Based on the latest sightings, the following updates are expected:
• A redesigned grille and reprofiled bumpers
• Refined front headlights for enhanced road visibility
• Square-shaped rear lights, lending the MPV a more assertive character
Despite the cosmetic makeover, the Triber is likely to retain the tried-and-tested 1.0-litre NA petrol engine. Renault has not confirmed if a CNG or turbocharged variant will be introduced in this facelift.
Renault’s facelift strategy comes in the backdrop of its broader commitment to the Indian market. Following the successful run of the Kiger and Triber, the brand is also preparing to roll out updated versions of the Duster and the all-new Bigster — both of which may see hybrid powertrains post the ICE launches.
As the Indian auto landscape continues to evolve, Renault aims to stay ahead with bold design language and value-driven offerings.
More information about the interiors, features, and possible launch timelines of both the Kiger and Triber facelift models is expected to surface in the coming months.
