Bangalore, Feb 23: It may be recalled that following a spate of public interest litigation and writ petitions which smack of political one-upmanship, a writ petition was submitted to the state High Court on Wednesday October 19, seeking cancellation of former state chief minister (CM), H D Kumaraswamy’s Lok Sabha membership. The writ petition said Kumaraswamy has become ineligible to continue as parliamentarian because of his plural marriage.
The hearing of the case has been postponed to next month.
Amidst this development, Mangalorean beauty Radhika has confirmed that Janata Dal (S) leader is her husband, and that she is leading a happily married life.
On the sidelines of an interview to a news channel on the movie 'Lucky' directed by her, Radhika admitted that she was happy and that she has a kid Shammika. "I cannot stay away from films, that's the reason I am directing the movie 'Lucky' which will be released on Friday February 25" she said.
"I am not interested in politics, but he (Kumaraswamy) is very much interested in movies. We watch movies together. He is a very sensitive person, and cries when watching emotional movies," she said refering to 'Anna - Tangi' movie of hers which was great hit, and which reportedly moved Kumaraswamy to tears.
Kumaraswamy's first wife Anitha Kumaraswamy is a member of legislative assembly in Karnataka, and the stage is now getting set to launch his son Nikhil Gowda into politics.
It would be interesting to see if Radhika's revelation about the marriage, which was largly in secret could create problems in Kumaraswamy's political career.
