Dubai, Apr 11: Dony Correa’s debut album ‘Hero – Only Yours’ was launched in a sparkling ceremony with enthralling music and wonderful drama at Emirates Theatre (Emirates International School) Jumeira, Dubai on Friday April 10.
A mega event executed to perfection by DC Creations led by multi talented couple Dony and Asha Correa and team drew thunderous applause and loud cheers from the audience leaving imprints in the audience’s minds for being one of the unique and successful Konkani events in Dubai.
Prajoth D’Sa with his soulful voice won the hearts of all present in his debut performance in Dubai while GVOM winner Joshal D'Souza kept the audience spellbound with her wonderful singing. The drama 'Vishentiche Bhaav' beautifully acted out by well-known award-winning actors gave a fitting finish to the well executed innovative event.
The event began on time with unique musical concert led by young singing sensation Prajoth D'Sa, Joshal D'Souza together with Dony, Asha Correa and team. Prajoth D'Sa who has sung in more than 40 Konkani albums kept the musical mood of the audience soaring with his usual charm and mesmerizing numbers like Tuzo Moga Maka Zala, Hene Tene etc. His debut performance was highly appreciated by the audience who kept asking for more. Joshal D'Souza, singing sensation of UAE captivated everyone’s attention with well-known Konkani and bollywood songs, singing them to perfection. The exceptionally talented couple, Dony and Asha enthralled the audience with their beautifully rendered songs and creative compering.
'Unplugged' version of singing, a unique attempt by the team, struck the right chord with the audience who savoured it to the full and responded it with loud cheers and applause. Music was led by talented musician Arun Carlo assisted by Vincy, Roshan, Plevin, Kethan, Veera and Teena who left no stone unturned to tune it to perfection.
The key moment of the event was the launch of the audio album ‘Hero – Only Yours’, a creative masterpiece by Dony Correa with perfect ingredients of lyrics, tunes and music. The audio album was released in a very innovative and creative way by DC Creations. Mega sponsors of the album Adrien D'Souza of Ivory Grand, Frank D'Souza, James Mendonca and Joseph Mathaias along with other notable guests were present on the dais during the CD launch.
Fr Lawrence D'Souza from Pernal, spoke on the occasion and wished Dony and team well. Frank D'Souza who spoke on behalf of the guests present on the stage exhorted the couple to continue creative contribution to the community. CD was inaugurated uniquely by a person in the crowd representing all the audience whom it is offered and was played on gramophone. Dony Correa expressed his gratitude to the sponsors and all those who were present and all those who backed his mighty efforts to bring out his debut album. He said it was his long cherished dream and it got materialized with this project. He said he has made every effort to make this album unique and a masterpiece and requested the support and love of Konkani community for his debut venture.
Daijiworld TV Gulf event which is aimed to facilitate the reach of events in Gulf to viewers of Daijiworld 24x7 TV channel all over the world was launched during the programme led by Dayan D'Souza. Dayan in his address lauded the couple Dony and Asha for their contribution to Konkani culture and events and wished them good in their endeavors.
‘Vishentiche Bhav’, a brilliant drama by Cha Fra brilliantly performed by veteran actors Vincy Lobo, Cynthi, Dony, Veena, Dinesh, Robert and Anil was well appreciated by everyone present. All the actors in the drama displayed their acting skills bringing out the best of each character. The drama was very successful in keeping the spell bound audience glued to their chairs with its punchy dialogues and humorous lines.
The event which began on time ended on time culminating on a high note. All the sponsors of the album and event, artists and musicians were presented with unique mementos by Dony and Asha. This creative and innovative event by DC creations was highly successful with the audience who appreciated it to the full and went back from the hall fully satisfied.
