Rev Fr Cyprian – I call you our Father on Earth. A priest of goodness, faith, simplicity & humility – God’s messenger of peace and love you had a tremendous capacity to instill faith hope and confidence and change things. You were a unifying force at Rosario, the beacon of light giving sunshine to all your flock. The greatest gift you gave us was your selfless love, time and faith. Your smile was a source of joy and touched whomever you met. Like Jesus walked in the streets of Galilee soothing and comforting his loved ones, so were you, treading tirelessly giving your self to the poor and the downtrodden, the sick and the weary, both big and small, young and old. Your commitment to your vocation will always be an inspiration to all of us. You were so humane, kind and gentle, a man of prayer, a source of comfort to all who needed your guidance at any time. You were very unassuming, you did not expect anything in return for your efforts, and whatever you got you gave away to the needy. God so loved the world that he sent us his son Fr Cyprian and we have learnt so many fine qualities of life from him. He bore the cross of ill heath and suffering with patience, fortitude and humour – he once told me his cross was too light compared to that of Jesus, but Jesus knew that Father’s Cross was becoming heavier by the day, and thought the Holy Week was the right time to give rest to his tired body. We are orphaned by your passing away, but for us you will be the brightest star shining in the sky and we will look up to you for your guiding light. Goodbye Dearest Father, may the flights of Heavenly Angels sing thee to thy eternal rest.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the sudden demise of Fr. Cyprian Coelho. He was a person of great inspiration for many who had lost direction in life. He had a special way of reaching out people, even to strangers. His passing away is a great loss for the diocese of Mangalore. But I sure that the Lord who called him to serve His people in the dioces of Mangalore will reward him blissfully in His Kingdom. He has run his race very beautifully and has reached his destination, completing his journey here on earth. He was a close family friend of ours. Inspite of his ill health and paralysis, he made it a point to come home for the funeral of our dear dad at the end of August, 08. That shows his concern and love for others. May God grant him eternal rest. May he live in the hearts of all who know him. We will miss you Fr. Cyprian... From Sr. Hildegard SRA, Fr. Lawrence SVD, Mum, brothers & sister

It is very hard to note Father Cypriyan is no more. May His soul rest in peace. He was a very wonderfull person, I was fortunate to serve as altar boy during his days in Shirva. He used his own funds to take the altar boys to annual trips to Mangalore. Very humble and down to earth priest. Although he was frail and sick he attened our dad's first year repose mass at Shirva. Our family is ever gratefull for this. I am sure Jesus Christ will welcome His son in His paradise. Wesly Tauro Lilly Tauro

Fr. Cyprian, was a humble and true living soldier of Christ. He helped lot of people by reaching them in need not only our community but to all. As I know He was a friend of even a person who was living on street. He has  given true guidence, and didn't stay back to tell people what is right and wrong, . He suffered a lot by in his sickness but even then no complaints and wonderful smile on his face, i.e. may be Jesus was shining with him. He did lot of good deeds to society, he lived by practical faith i.e with "good deeds". We will remember his true living example. I am really in sorrow on sad news. MAY GOD GRANT HIM ETERNAL REST & SOUL REST IN PEACE . .

It is hard to believe that Fr. Coelho is No more. The St. Joseph’s higher pry school in Vamanjoor is one of the milestones in Vamanjoor is an effort of Fr. Coelho, in which we were the second batch. I still remember those days where he used to go to the construction site of the school early in the morning, watering the concrete for curing, and then he used to celebrate the 7.30 a.m. mass. He himself worked very hard for that school and today thousands of people studied there and become successful in their life. He was a person who ‘never says no’ for the poor, children and needy people of all religions. Under his guidance and courage my mother was the first one other than the priests and nuns who startred to teach catechism for the children on Sundays in Vamanjoor parish. In case of emergency he used to visit the parishioner’s families some times by walking miles and miles  at midnight also and helped the needy and sick people. It is hard to believe the fact that Fr. Cyprian is no more with us, but his thoughts, his principles of religious life and especially the love which he has given for us Vamanjooreans will remain in our heart forever. May your soul rest in piece dear Fr. Coelho…

I am deeply saddened by the demise of Rev. Fr. Cyprian Coelho. I offer my deepest condolences to all who bereave his death. He was my parish priest at Hospet, who helped me to join the Seminary and extended whole-hearted co-operation for my First Mass at Hospet. He carried just things in his life: a glowing smile and a generous heart for all, especially for the needy. He is one of the finest priests I have ever known. I would never miss an opportunity to meet him whenever I went from Delhi to Mangalore for my holidays. A real priest in the true sense of the word. Now that he is away from us physically, all who love him, may be inspired by him. For priests, we have a ready example in him. May he rest in peace.
