Shivamogga, Sep 18: A Konkani mass was offered by Fr Ephrem Dias of Shanthi Ashram, Bhimankone at St Joseph’s Church Sagar on the occasion of Monti fest.

Stage cultural programmes in Konkani were held after the mass.

Chief guest of the event was Dr Na D’souza noted writer of Karnataka who spoke about the rich culture of Konkani language and its history. He also explained how Monti Feast came into existence in the coastal area of Karnataka and its rich heritage.



The event concluded with lunch (Noven Joven).
