Kaup, Apr 5: “The country received respect because we voted for Modi during last Lok Sabha elections. Modi has preserved the respect that we bestowed on him. Therefore, it is our duty to make him the prime minister again. We should join in the slogan, Modi again and support BJP,” said BJP leader film acress Shruthi.
She was speaking after setting in motion the car procession for election campaign in favour of Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha candidate Shobha Karandlaje held by BJP.
“I am equally proud to say that I am an Indian and belong to BJP because I have voted for BJP. Modi government at the centre which came to power with our votes has ruled without corruption. Let us strengthen Modi. Let our vote be among the votes that make BJP win,” she said.
Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon said that BJP is strong in Kaup. “BJP has progressed in last Lok Sabha elections, Vidhan Sabha elections and several elections held in between them. It is our responsibility to make our candidate win in the all the constituencies of Udupi and Chikkamagaluru. Every activist should work hard for it,” he said.
BJP district president Suresh Shetty Gurme said that these elections are between equity and iniquity. “There are efforts to tie in Mahaghatbandhan Modi who has made India the teacher in the world. Just like it is not possible to tie Ashwamedha horse, it is not possible to tie Modi and BJP. We have the responsibility to prove it,” he said.
