Mangaluru, Sep 8: The church premises on September 8 was decked with colours as children offered flowers to Infant Mary- ‘Maria Bambina’.
After the blessing of the new corn by the vicar Fr William Menezes, the faithful, proceeded in a procession to the church.
Asst parish priest, Fr Denzil Lobo celebrated the mass and the parish priest gave the homily on the Word of God. There were seven guest priests for the mass.
After the mass, new corn was distributed by the gurkars. Sugarcane and payasam were served to all.
A festive mood prevailed all round as people exchanged greetings to one another.
