Kasargod, Oct 10: The fire brigade is conducting search operations in Kasargod’s Thekkil Lake to find the body of the woman who was brutally murdered.
Pramila (31) was allegedly murdered by her husband Shilzo. She was reported missing since September 19 and her husband had filed a missing complaint in Vidyanagar police station.
Shilzo originally hails from Kannur and Pramila’s native is Kollam Kunda. They were staying in a rented accommodation in Pannippare since several years. Pramila went missing on September 19 and Shilzo lodged a police complaint the next day. The murder came to light when police took Shilzo into custody and questioned him.
The police say that during interrogation, Shilzo admitted of killing his wife. The couple had quarreled on September 19 and Shilzo killed Pramila in rage. He later took her dead body in his auto-rickshaw, tied a stone and threw it into Thekkil Lake.
A search for the body is in progress since Thursday morning. Shilzo was employed in a company in Ernakulam. Here he met Pramila, who was employed in a nearby fancy store and they fell in love. They were staying in a rented house for the last two years. Shilzo was working as an auto-rickshaw driver. Pramila had questioned Shilzo about his affair that led to arguments. Police have said that further details will be known only after they find the dead body.
