Puttur, Dec 15: Reports said that a senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist lost his life after the motorbike he was riding hit the road divider at Polya. The accident happened at Polya near Kabaka on Mani-Mysuru national highway in the early hours of Tuesday December 15.
The deceased motorbike rider has been identified as Venkataramana Holla from Bantwal, who was a senior RSS activist.
Holla was moving to Bantwal from Puttur in his motorbike when his vehicle hit the road divider at Polya, it is learnt. His body was found to have been deposited a little away from the spot where the bike hit the divider. His head was found to have been smashed. There is also a suspicion that some other vehicle would have hit his vehicle before moving ahead.
Puttur city traffic police visited the spot. They have begun an investigation.
