Farmers allege Facebook blocked their page on government's behest

New Delhi, Dec 21 (IANS): The agitating farmers' unions alleged that Facebook had blocked their page, Kisan Ekta Morcha, at the Central government's behest on Sunday after they published a video countering its claims on farm laws.

Baljeet Singh, who termed himself the head of IT wing of the agitation, said: "The government is afraid of the farmers."

In a jibe at Facebook, Twitter user Mandeep Muktsar wrote: "Breaking: #MarkZuckerberg to be nominated to Rajya Sabha. @Facebook."

The Facebook page was later restored, reports said.

The farmers, on Sunday, had warned the government that they will make all the toll plazas free in Haryana between December 25-27 and will undertake a relay hunger strike.

They also decided to boycott any NDA constituent which doesn't back the farmers' stir.

Addressing a joint press conference at the Singhu Border as their protests against the three new farm laws entered the 25th day, the farmers' unions said: "On December 27, PM (Narendra) Modi will speak in 'Mann ki Baat' but we want to appeal to all of you to bang utensils till the time the PM is speaking."

The protests by farmers camping at the borders of the national capital entered the 25th day on Sunday.

After all the Facebook India counter is full of BJP/RSS that blocks all views that are anti BJP.

It is clear to the people of our country that these three farm bills was a dubious case of match fixing by Modi and Amit Shah for their crony capitalists friends like Ambani and Adani. The elaborate advance preparations , go downs, super markets, land acquisitions and other arrangements by industrialists Abmani and Adani are already in the public domain. These crony capitalists will then dominate the agriculture sector and render the farmers vulnerable and vanquished.

The BJP Govt has made a mockery of Parlimentary Democracy by passing these Farm Bills without any discussion in the house or taken any of the stake holders into confidence. They finally passed it in the Rajya Sabha in a most deceitful manner through a voice vote just to please their Crony Capitalist friends at the expense of the Farmers.

A Suit Boot Ki Sarkar that is totally insensitive, Callous, Indifferent, Arrogant and Autocratic that cares two hoots for the lower sections of our society including farmers.
If Agriculture is a State subject the why has the center passed Bills on Farm Laws on Agriculture.
