Classic Delaying tactics to fool the public and to pretend that these jokers are working on it. Ugly truth is that to prevent loss of their 'share', they will see to it that the toll gate does not closed, and all this toll gate closure drama is just to make a fool out of the public.

Hejmadi and Suratkal Toll gates are not even 15km apart from each other and everybody knows that including those in Authority and those managing the Law. So who does not understand the Toll Law to be charged at 60km from one point to another. The Commissioner of Police should investigate which culprit gets all the money collected at Surathkal and why is the Toll charged since so many years without a justification. What is the Law doing in this controversial case. Some time ago it was stated in this same media that it was Mr.Yashpal Suvarna from Kaup.

Considering the fact that such a simple issue that could have been resolved in a moment, dragged on and on endlessly, by the connivance and conspiracy of people in power, with the sole.intention of pocketing huge sums of money by fleecing gullible vehicle owners, your observation holds ground. I will not be surprised to see drastic increase in the toll fee at Hejmadi by adding the entire amount of the toll charges that were being levied at NITK toll plaza. The very terminology used (merging) reaffirms their intentions. It should have been 'abolish', 'removal', 'dismantle', etc.
