Udupi: 25-year-old drowns while bathing in river at Hebri

Udupi, Sep 15: A youth died at Talamane near Muniyali Kabbibale in Hebri as the got washed away in the current of the river on Wednesday September 14 evening.

The deceased is identified as Pavan Acharya (25), son of Vadiraja Acharya of Muniyalu. He had been to river with locals and relatives to have bath but unfortunately got into the water current and drowned.

The mortal remains of Acharya were found 200 meters from the spot where he drowned. He was unmarried.

A case in this regard is registered in Hebri police station.
