Mangaluru: St Agnes CBSE School celebrates Hindi Diwas

Mangaluru, Sep 15: Every year on September 14, Hindi Diwas is observed in India to commemorate the adoption of Hindi as the official language since 1949. It is celebrated every year to promote literary work in Hindi and to encourage its use. The schools in India too mark this significant day by creatively depicting the importance of this language.

St Agnes CBSE School too recognised this day with a meaningful prayer service presented by grade VII and IV students during the morning assembly. The significance of the day was shared to the students. In recognition to this day and bringing in the importance of the Hindi Language several activities were conducted such as creating Varnamala Phed, Slogans on Hindi Diwas, to Create Words of Hindi language using grains, poster making, dressing up like dohekaar and Narration of story on ‘Mitrata’.

The administrator, the principal congratulated the students and the Hindi subject teachers for their best presentation of the day.
