Puttur: St Philomena PU College student’s presence of mind saves lives of bus passengers

Puttur, Sep 15: Sizan Hasan, first year ECBA student of St Philomena PU College has done something extraordinary to save the lives of the passengers in an express bus, numbered KA21-F0057.

The incident took place at around 4.25 pm on September 13. The bus which was on its way to Uppinangady, started to move backward all of a sudden in the absence of the driver and the conductor. When the passengers were in panic, Sizan Hasan sprang into action without even thinking about his life. He jumped on to the driver's seat, applied the brake and saved the passengers from danger. He was applauded for his bravery.

Sizan is the son of Abdul Salam and Thahira.

Correspondent Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, campus director Fr Stany Pinto, principal Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta and the staff appreciated the boy's bravery.
