Mangaluru: Srinivas College of Pharmacy holds orientation programme

Mangaluru, Sep 15: Orientation programme for fresh batch of Srinivas College of Pharmacy students was held on September 14 at Valachil Campus, Mangaluru.

A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, Member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University, Mangaluru has appreciated the newly admitted pharmacy students for having chosen pharmacy as their career and encouraged them to excel in pharmacy profession. Professor A Mitra S Rao, member, Board of Governors, Srinivas University and secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru has exhorted the students to develop positive attitude, do hard work and gainful knowledge for achieving success in life while delivering presidential remarks on the orientation day programme. She has advised the students to approach the faculty members for proper counselling and guidance.

Dr A R Shabaraya, principal welcomed the gathering and called budding pharmacists to follow 3D’s i.e dedication, determination and discipline to achieve success in students life. Dr Krishnananda Kamath, professor, gave a presentation of profession of Pharmacy, detailing course content with rules, regulations, outlined its scope and assured the parents about the safety of their wards. Students who had taken admission accompanied by their parents attended the programme and expressed their views on the quality of the academic programmes imparted by the Srinivas college of Pharmacy.

Dr Padmavathi P Prabhu and Mahananda Prabhu anchored the programme. Dr EVS Subrahmanyam, professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy detailed about Pharmacy Profession and proposed vote of thanks.
