Mangaluru, Sep 17: In the august presence pf Home and Cooperation Minister, government of India Amit Shah, Bank of Baroda was awarded the first prize under Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskaar. BoB a leading public sector bank, has been awarded the first prize in the category of Nationalized Banks under the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar Scheme of the GOI for the year 2021-22.
Along with this, Bank Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee, Baroda, working in conjunction with the Bank, has been awarded the second prize in the category of TOLIC under ‘B’ linguistic area.
Both the above awards were presented to the bank during the Hindi Divas Celebration – 2022 and the second All India Official Language Conference held on September 14-15 in Surat. The chief guest of the award ceremony was Home & Cooperation Minister, Amit Shah, chief minister of Gujarat Bhupendra Patel, guests Union Mos for Home Nityanand Rai, A K Mishra and Nishith Pramanik.
The Rajbhasha Kirti Purasakar received by executive director Ajay K Khurana and Narakas (Bank) Vadodara were received by chief general manager (Operations) & chairman of the committee Dinesh Pant of the bank.
The bank has started Hindi Service of Internet Banking and WhatsApp Banking for the customers by taking Hindi as the language of business. The bank is providing banking services in regional languages including Hindi through its mobile banking app ‘bobworld’.
The bank has also ensured the availability of SMS related to transactions in different Indian languages including Hindi for its customers.
