Mangaluru, Sep 18: Additional facilities are being provided at the passenger checking area and security area in the international airport at Bajpe in the city.

Four metal detector doors, two each for men and women are installed. These have baggage screening machines in them. After the checking the passengers can easily meet their co-travellers.

The Aviation Support Group (ASG) will manage the baggage screening machines. Security personnel will guide the passengers to reach SHA without any confusion.

Additional trays and tables are being provided for passengers to keep their luggage for checking. New e-gates have been installed to scan the barcode of passengers’ tickets. Due to the fixing of additional baggage rollers, the baggage checking will be faster.

    When every airport is known for the best facilities this pathetic airport is known for its loot... the way they handle passengers is like criminals.. every time you wear the same gold still every time you're questioned, ..they should instead click pics n stick to our passport so that they know what we are wearing is old gold only... Luggage here in DXB comes faster though there are multiple flights landing simultaneously.. whereas in our mangalore airport hardly flights land throughout the day and the luggage time is more than 60 mins.. Every airport tries to improve but ours becomes worst day by day... If we go during rains then be ready for rain showers both you n your luggage will be drenched as cars are parked so far and there is no covering overhead Despite regular complaints haven't seen any changes as they know very well that costal ppl hv no choice .. Such a tiny airport which is managed so horribly with not even domestic standards and we are forced to call it international Every outsider who comes to this airport complains n makes fun which we feel ashamed of ..but no other choice Last time I heard one saying iss airport main tho pura nanga karathe hain to check if you have gold Even at the security every time we are made to.open n show the things then why are the screening system kept??? Check all stuff manually only na.. Every day they claim so much gold smuggling is caught but is that true.. if yes what are they doing with that gold later on?? We people who work hard n buy gold are interrogated as if we have looted . Worst, horrible, pathetic, disgusting airport of the world

    Pathetic experience , security check before departure takes long time and waste of time due to less space , unexperienced security officers . Also baggage comes wet(if it rains) and late in a tiny airport , some one with international exposure has to head this airport .

    Fake, today only I traveled to Dubai, huuuge line for emigration,& huuuuuuuuge line for security check, Mangalore airport systems are very poor,

    Recently my family travelled from Kannur Airport because of Air India Express fare. Daylight loot they are doing in pretext of Budget Airlines. And Pathetic service as usual.

    Hi Instead of increasing these eye wash facilities, airport authorities should increase passenger facilities. One of the pathetic airport to carry luggage trollies from departure to car parking. Only one working lift

    Yes ..I am not understanding why the airport taxis allowed the pickup and drop near the drop of area.. there is long que to go and in the rain season lot of inconvenience for the travellers..

    ever since Adani has taken over mangalore airport flight ticket charges from gulf to mangalore increased double fold. before i used to travel gulf to mangalore twice in a year with my family of 4 now i travel only once in two years. i avoid mangalore airport for this reason.

    Suruku airfare kammi manpule mare..yeru mangalore airportgu barpere.. no one bothered about increase AIRFARE and all looking for nearby airport for arrival and hardly have direct international flights.
