Bantwal: Two detained by Vittal police for trying to steal telephone cable wires

Bantwal, Sep 18: Two persons were caught red-handed by the public while they were trying to steal telephone cable wires in Kudriya in Kolnadu village and later handed over to the Vittal police station.

It is believed that Sesappa, a resident of Punacha and another accused who came with him tried to steal the cable wires and were caught by the public and handed over to the Vittal police.

Sesappa was reportedly working as lineman for BSNL on daily wages. He had reportedly quit his job recently.  

Vittal police sources said the two have been detained as of now. "The public have handed over the two to us. But, a case has not been registered in this regard," they said.
