Bantwal, Sep 19: “We can remain healthy in mind and body work-related pressure when a certain portion of our time is set aside for sports,” said Bantwal Mescom executive engineer Prashanth Pai.
He was speaking after inaugurating the ninth annual sports tournament held at Vitla Model School grounds by Vittal Mescom Officers/Employees' Association, KPTCL, Karnataka State Licensed Electrical Contractors' Association and primary committee of Mescom subdivision.
Vittal Mescom assistant engineer Pravin Joshi presided over the programme. Bantwal Mescom divisional accounts officer Chandrashekar, KPTCL Vittal Mescom assistant engineer Iranna Gowda, KPTCL Employees Association Central Committee member Shanker Prakash, State Licensed Electrical Contractors' Association district committee member Balakrishna Parkala, electric contractors' committee vice president Krishna Banari, Mescom backward class,tribe central committee member Dinesh, junior engineer Geetha, meter reader’s supervisor Akshay Shetty took part.
Padmanabha P was felicitated. State Licensed Electrical Contractors' Vittal sub committee president Laksminarayana Adyantaya presided over the concluding programme held in the evening.
Netla Mudkoor KPTCL assistant executive engineer Devadas Kothari, Mescom Mangaluru circle assistant Ravichandra, Vitla Mescom assistant accounts officer Nelson Navin Kumar, John of Sheeba Electrical, electric contractor Babu Moolya, branch officer Sathish and Prasanna were present.
KPTCL won the first prize in cricket, the second prize was won by Mani Mescom. Salethore Mescom won first prize in Kabaddi, Ukkuda Mescom won the second prize. Salethore Mescom won first prize in volleyball, KPTCL won first prize in tug of war and electric contractor’s association won the second prize. Kanyana Mescom won first prize for discipline.
Vitla Mescom assistant engineer Sathish Safalya welcomed. Ukkuda branch manager Ananda proposed a vote of thanks. KPTCL Vitla employees' association primary committee president Padmanabha Adyeyi compered the programme.
