Udupi, Sep 21: Pramod Muthalik, head of Sri Rama Sene who visited Vishwa Prasanna Theertha of Pejawar Math urged the seer to persuade BJP leaders to issue BJP tickets to Hindu activists in the next elections.
“If activists get elected as MLAs, they will raise their voice for Hindutva. There is lack of initiative towards Hindutva in BJP which can be filled by 25 activists. Asking for BJP tickets is our right as we have shed blood for the party. I have drawn the attention of the seer in this connection who has responded positively. The people in the state are dissatisfied by the developments in BJP. Hindu activists have the capacity to obtain the number of seats needed to run the government. I do not identify the persons as I do not contest in this election,” he said.
He said that the boycott and penalty slapped on a boy at Malur, Kolar is wrong. “Cruelty and violence towards Dalits even after 75 years of Independence is not right. The almighty does not like discrimination. Strict action should be taken against those who slapped fine on the boy so that such incidents do not repeat. Sri Rama Sene activists will visit the village and hold protests. I too will visit the place after reaching Bengaluru. Those who imposed fines should apologise and refund the fine amount,” he said.
“I have spoken to Pejawar seer about the injustice towards Hindus. The rowdy sheet cases and Goonda acts against them are not lifted. Hindu activists have been wandering to the court for the last ten years. BJP has been in power since the last three years,” he said.
“I had produced documents about the visit of Yasin Bhatkal to Shivamogga six years ago. But BJP had ignored them. I will conduct another news conference to make public my allegations and the present incident. I will meet the home minister and explain to him,” he said.
