Mumbai: Vasai Konkani Welfare Association celebrates 12th Monthi Fest

Mumbai, Sep 21: Vasai Konkani Welfare Association (VKWA) celebrated its 12th Monthi Fest cultural programme on Saturday, September 10 at Vishwakarma Hall Vasai.

The programme started with a procession carrying Mother Mary statue with prayer dance by children.

The stage cultural programe started with welcome address by VKWA president Reginald Santhmayer and prayers song by VKWA woman's wing members and prayer dance followed by variety of cultural programme like dance, singing and short skits.

During stage programme, prizes were distributed to the winners of Konkani talent competition organised by VKWA on August 24. Between cultural programme, milk mixed with noven was distributed to all people.

VKWA advisor Jessie Menezes, VKWA president Reginald, Santhmayer, vice president Edward Gomes, honorary president John Dsouza, secretary Albert Dcosta, treasurer Henry pinto, founder president Steffen Fernandes, former president Ancy Paladka, Fr John Pinto, KWA Virar president Dian D'Souza, and Naigaon association advisor Ivon Rebello were present on stage.

Fr John Pinto said graced for noven jevon after the thanksgiving speech by John D'Souza. All gathered enjoyed tasty noven jevon prepared by Joshi Catering Services, Vasai. 

The programme was hosted and handled nicely by Oliver D'Souza Angelore and VKWA joint secretary Jacintha Ambrose.

The members had noven jevon on banana leaves. The programme ended with Laudate.
