Kundapur: Mahanavaratri festival celebrations begin at Mookambika temple

Kundapur, Sep 26: The Mahanavarastri festival celebrations at Mookambika temple were inaugurated here at 8.30 am on September 26 by temple management committee president Kerai Chandrashekar Shetty. The Ganapathi Pooja was held followed by Mangalarathi.

The temple has made sufficient arrangements for people arriving from the village and outside for the festival that will be celebrated for nine days. The Navaratri Kalasha will be installed at 6 pm. He requested everybody to participate in the cultural programmes that will be held in the evenings.

Temple executive officer S P B Mahesh, temple chief Dr Ramachandra Adiga, management committee members Jayananda Hobalikar, Dr Atul Kumar Shetty, Gopalakrishna Nada, Ganesh Kini, Sandhya Ramesh and staff were present.
