Puttur: St Philomena PU College celebrates National Hindi Day

Puttur, Sep 26: National Hindi Day was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and fervor on September 23 at St Philomena PU College, Puttur.

The president, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta, principal, St Philomena PU College said, "Hindi is a beautiful language which brings people together. It lays a bridge between the people of different nations.It unites all the Indians together".

The chief guest, Lokendra Singh Rathod said, "Hindi is a National language which connects people so, 'Hindi Day' is celebrated worldwide every year.Hindi is an easy language and is spoken by crores of people". He motivated students to learn and speak Hindi language.

Fr Stany Pinto, campus director, St Philomena Institutions said, "Hindi is an important and essential language". He encouraged students to respect each and every language.

The co-ordinators of Hindi Association, Sathish M (dept of Hindi) and Dr Asha Savithri (dept of Hindi) organized the programme.

Sinchana (II PCMB 'B') welcomed the gathering. Tom ( II ECBA) proposed vote of thanks. Norman Daran D'Souza(I PCMC) compered the programme.
