Araga Jnanendra hails ban on PFI; security tightened across state

Bengaluru, Sep 28 (IANS): Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanendra on Wednesday welcomed the imposition of ban on the Popular Front of India (PFI) in the country for five years.

"The National Intelligence Agency (NIA) in coordination with various state police departments had carried out raids on PFI workers and gathered evidence," he said.

He further stated that PFI was one of the religious fundamental forces which indulged in pitting the youth of the country against the nation. The move to ban PFI is good in the view of maintaining the integrity and unity of the country.

This is also a step which was necessary to maintain peace and harmony in the country, the Home Minister stated.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Director General of Police Praveen Sood has given directions to take up strict vigilance across the state against the backdrop of the move. The local police have been directed to conduct peace meetings with the Muslim community leaders.

It has also been directed to take those who try to disturb peace into custody. The central government has also issued warnings to take preventive measures in this regard.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Pratap Reddy has given directions in localities where Muslims live in more numbers. The orders have been issued to lock all the PFI's offices in the city.

The notification of the union government has mentioned the murder of BJP activist Praveen Kumar Nettare in Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka. It has also mentioned the proposal of the Karnataka government to ban PFI.

"PFI is a TERRORIST organization" We cannot see our back without the help two mirrors. Same way you must analyse the current situations rationally. BD, Sena, Hindu activists are no less than , Taliban of Afghanistan. Who authorized and financing all these criminal activities in the society, in the name Hindutva and protection of Hindus ? If others do that is terrorism if you own people indulge it is required even though not authorized legal way.

"PFI is a TERRORIST organization" If that is the case what BD's, immoral police & Hindu activists do in the society against other communities is not less. Why do we need when we have legal Police, Law & order and Judiciary system. ? Why some parallel right wing organizations are committing un authorized acts and why our government is not taking action against them ? I feel these sects are as bad as Taliban in Afghanistan!

By not banning SDPI merely for the purpose of division of minority votes the BJP is indirectly strengthening the mindests of PFI cadres.

We fail to understand why Hindu activists organizations are not considered for similar ban, since they too were involved in the murder of two Muslim youth to settle communal score ! Why rules differ on choice of wish & will and not as common law for all criminals ? This is open case of biased law & RULES.

Why SDPI is not banned??? NIA has arrested SDPI leaders too!! Why you people creating confusion?? Is it because SDPI is a B team of BJP. is it because to devide Muslim votes.... Is it because you scared of congress party??? Please do not politise the national issue... Why you can't disqualify from elections SDPI until they come clean. So many questions without answers...
