Mangaluru: CPR demo, training held for students at Expert PU College as part of World Heart Day

Mangaluru, Sep 29: Medical emergencies in everyday life can come to any person, at any time, in any place. When such a situation arises, the awareness of the first aid that we have to take is of vital importance. This can save many precious lives. Heart related emergencies are very common nowadays. First aid procedure to be followed in the event of a heart attack or cardiac arrest or the prior medical assistance, Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) should be known to everyone.

Dr Maneesh Rai Cardio-Electrophycist, KMC Hospital Mangaluru conducted a CPR demonstration and training with the help of a mannequin for about 1000 budding doctors at Expert Pre University College Valachil, as part of the ‘World Heart Day’ observation students participated in this programme with great enthusiasm. A question and answer session was also conducted at the end.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Expert PU College, Valachil, Mangaluru, honoured the resource person with a memento. Subramanya Udupa, vice principal (acdmics), welcomed him with a bouquet.

Dr Chaithra, Pathologist, KMC, Mangaluru, Raghavendra Shenoy, vice principal (admin), Gurudath, Coaching head, and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
