Mangaluru, Oct 1: Owner of K M Enterprises in the city, who undertakes the work of levelling land, was duped by a man, native of Maharashtra to the tune of Rs 10 lac on the pretext of supplying a new equipment.
M Kumaresh, owner of the company is the victim. He came to know from his employee Kishore Kumar, about the equipment that was owned by Amol Sarjerao Urkude, native of Amaravati in Maharashtra which was kept for sale.
Kumaresh sent Kishore Kumar to Amaravati and after looking at the machine, agreed to pay Rs 13 lac. As advance Kumaresh transferred Rs 10 lac to the account of Amol. On the same day, when Kishore, employee of Kumaresh went to Amaravati and tried to contact Amol, his mobile was switched off.
North police station personnel have registered the case in this regard.
